At Manor Lodge Dental Practice, we provide a comprehensive range of endodontic treatments for our patients.
Endodontics is the field of dentistry concerned with the interior of the tooth, also sometimes referred to as the ‘dental pulp’. The interior of the tooth can at times become infected and/or inflamed – often as a result of tooth decay that has gone untreated, or injury. The most common endodontic treatment is the root canal treatment.
What endodontic treatments can you provide?
We’re proud of the range of treatment we can offer our patients here at Manor Lodge Dental Practice. As well as professional root canal treatment performed by microscope, our highly skilled team can also provide treatment for multiple or curved roots, and re-root canal treatment. This is when a previous root canal treatment that has unfortunately failed needs to be treated again.
How do I know if I need endodontic treatment?
If you are visiting us here regularly for twice yearly check-ups and exams, then we should hopefully be able to diagnose your need for endodontic treatment without you experiencing any uncomfortable symptoms. However, if you are experiencing toothache, pain or difficulty when biting down or chewing, swollen gums, increased sensitivity, or any unusual discolouration of the teeth, then this could be a sign you’re in need of endodontic treatment. In some cases, an abscess may also be present. If this is the case, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
